Planning for instruction emphasizes the importance of creating rigorous learning goals for students that are fully engaging towards the curriculum being taught by creating a goal that is obtainable yet challenging. These goals should bring the students together in a community context engaging and motivating them to achieve the set goals. When planning instruction and setting goals in place for students the teacher must keep in mind that the goals set for future instruction should be able to support and be obtainable for every student’s individual needs within the classroom. When finalizing content for the students to learn the thought of how the students should be able to apply the skills learned should be put into context and drawn upon learning goals.
